Classical Guitar tuition for all ages, including private pupils at home, from complete beginner to Diploma Level - including music theory - and preparing students for ABRSM examinations.

Contrary to popular belief the guitar is not a modern instrument invented for pop music. Guitars have been around, in various guises for centuries. There are renaissance dances, baroque suites, classical sonatas and concertos for guitar, as well as works by modern composers such as Benjamin Britten and William Walton.

It's this "Classical" style that Roy specialises in, though the teaching method used would be beneficial to anyone wanting to go on to play any style of music.

About Roy Bull

Roy studied at Birmingham School of Music (now called Birmingham Conservatoire) in the early 1970's. In 1974, with a recommendation from the School of Music, he began teaching classical guitar for Birmingham Education Authority and in private schools. At present he teaches in schools in Bromsgrove and Solihull and has, of course, been subject to the usual police checks on people working with children, so you can rest assured your young ones will be in safe hands.

In December 1999, Roy was given a "Music and Arts Award" by the Journal Publishing Group in recognition of the fact that, in more than 25 years of teaching, he had never had a pupil fail an examination.
